Galerie Mitobo proudly presents its August 2024 exhibit "Magic & Material" with large-scale works on metallic paper by duo Tis & Vitaly, new enchanting circular wall sculptures by Brooklyn-based Rachel Goldsmith, and mesmerizing tapestries made out of tailors’ measuring tapes by Rwandan textile artist Moise Izabiriza.

Goldsmith is a world-renowned pioneer of the use of 3D printing pen technology to produce sculptures out of corn-based bioplastic, merging high tech and unmatched elegance in distinctive circular works that look like no other.

Izabiriza, one of the rising stars of Africa’s futuristic contemporary art scene, creates spellbinding tapestries made of woven and sewn measuring tapes that combine the rich texture of fabric and the glimmer of metal in a sea of printed numbers.

Tis & Vitaly unite photography and technology in their radiant, musical artwork on metal, textiles, and specialty papers, blending the sophistication of Franco-Belgian design with Brooklyn’s spirit of bold, engaged art.
