Nigerian textile artist Tunde Odunlade (b. 1954) is one of Africa's great living textile artists, known for his use of beads, embroidery, and batik dyeing techniques. Odunlade's visual world blends an allegorical representation of traditional Yoruba wisdom with cosmopolitan influences from as far afield as the American Southwest and India.
